17th Season has begun...

Our 17th Season is up and running.  We opened in October with The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman and The Tectonic Project to full houses and standing ovations!  It was a huge success and opened the eyes of many of our patrons.  Now we are about to open our second production Maggie's Getting Married by Norm Foster and directed by Peg Keenleyside.  Another Foster that is sure to have you laughing and thinking at the same time.  Canada's most prolific playwright does not dissapoint in this script!  MGM opens January 23 and runs to Feb. 8 (Thurs, Fri & Sat evenings at 8pm) and one matinee on Sunday, February 2 at 2pm.   Reservations are highly recommended...the sooner the better.  We usually sell out the last weekend by the end of the first week!

Following Maggie's Getting Married, we will be doing an encore presentation of our very successful and award winning play Waiting for the Parade by John Murrell.  This story follows 5 Canadian women as they keep the home-fires burning during WWII.  This was Sidekick's second production in 1998!  A very talented cast of women are in place and ready to get rehearsals under their belts.  Directed by Carroll Lefebvre, this promises to be one of the season's favourites.

We close the season with On Golden Pond directed by Jacqollyne Keath.   This is the lovely story of an aging couple, their relationship and their daughter and the relationship between her and her Dad.  A story that will make you laugh and possibly move you to tears as well.   This was a very successful movie, based on the stage play and it will not disappoint anyone.

Tickets are:  Adults $18, Seniors (60+) and Students (12-18) $15
